Destination Wedding at Pestana Palace, Lisbon

Monica & Amir’s Destination Wedding in Portugal, at the pestana Palace Hotel.
It was a very meaningful wedding with an orthodox ceremony at São Roque Church.

Monica is from San Diego and Amir is from Egypt. They met in London.
In 2018 they were in Lisbon, a while later they decide to return to get married in the city of the seven hills.

The Pestana Palace Hotel
The initial design of the palace was done by Italian architect Nicola Bigaglia, who led the work on the project until 1908.
The initial work was followed and finalized by the Portuguese architect José Ferreira da Costa who took over the project until its completion in 1910.

Numerous details throughout the palace are by the famous architect Miguel Ventura Terra.
After the palace was built, an extensive interior design campaign took place between 1910 and 1915.
Under the auspices of the designers Constantino Fernandes, Carlos Reis and Eugénio Cotrim.
This luxurious and elegant hotel has a wonderful view over the Tejo River. 

A luxuriant private park surrounds the grounds with an abundance of subtropical plants and trees, presenting a magnificent panoramic view.

The Hotel has also won several international competitions for its unsurpassed and exquisite cuisine.
Monica’s preparations were in one of the suites, in the company of her godmothers and her mother.
We prepared the meeting with her father in one of the wonderful rooms.
A wedding replete with elegance, happiness and a lot of love. 

In conclusion, it is always wonderful to see the bride and groom dancing in the starlight
Then the party continues inside, with lots of energy and good humour.
